Minerva on the chariot

The chariot is a strong symbol in the Etruscan culture. Like  in the Egyptian or in the Chinese culture the Etruscans would put in their tombs a large number of warriors or horses or chariots...to be their army in the next world, in fact for the Etruscans the death was only a passage to the next world. In this figuration, the chariot is conducted by Minerva, the goddess of war.  The owl that she hold on one hand indicates that wisdom is with her.
