The Autumn design This design takes its origin at the end of the medieval times in the area of Florence. The corporation of the weavers was powerful and spread into the center of Italy. The most famous linen centers were Montefalco in Umbria, Florence, Siena and Anghiari in Tuscany. The flower and leaf design was largely used in Tuscany and represented prosperity and wealth.
